Duration: 12 months (some learners may be able to fast-track depending on experience and learning ability).

Face to Face + Online

Interactive and engaging face to face workshops covering the practical areas of the course blended with online coursework.

Duration: 2 x 4 day practical workshops with approx 12 weeks online in between each, then 9 months to complete online afterwards.

Earn the qualification entirely or partially through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and complete any remaining gaps online.

Duration: up to 12 months to complete.

To complete the course you will be required to undertake a range of projects and practical tasks, observations, written activities and interviews. We’ll work with you to help you develop the knowledge and skills to be successful, as well as give you a broad toolkit of templates and examples to work from.

Below we give you a taste for the major project aspects of this course. These are summarised for simplicity. Many of these projects can feed in to each other and contribute to an overall major project of quality and resilience and sustainability across an organisation.

Major assessment activities include:

Conducting a full audit

Once you’ve developed the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead audit activities you will be required to carry out a full audit including planning it all out, leading the actual audit process, and reporting on the outcomes of the audit. You can do this in relation to your own industry giving it relevancy and usefulness to your situation.

Risk management action plan

You will be given the opportunity to develop and implement an action plan to treat risks that you’ve identified, then monitor and evaluate the risk management process you developed.

Documenting a quality-management plan

Here you develop a quality management plan for a specific project from your industry. You then go ahead and implement the quality control and assurance processes in your plan, using different tools and methodologies.

Establish a system for continuous improvement

You will be given the opportunity to develop a system or set of processes that facilitate ongoing improvement for part of an organisation for your industry. A serious opportunity to establish yourself as someone who takes initiative in quality improvements in an organisation.

Creating a system that supports an organisation’s sustainability goals

A key consideration for any organisation that is required to or desires to demonstrate its commitment to ongoing sustainability. You get to show leadership here by establishing a system that supports an organisation’s sustainability.

There are at least 2 occasions that require video if doing the course entirely online. This can equate to a kind of “highlight-reel” featuring a few shorter videos, depending on how you go about the projects.

We understand that some people may not be currently employed in a role where they have the opportunity to conduct audits and implement new processes.

While much of the learning can be done at home, there will be a number of times where you must actually practice and demonstrate your skills in auditing, as well as demonstrating your ability to work effectively with others. This is ideally done in a real organisational setting.

It may be possible however to utilise a combination of previous experience, case studies and research of future employers to build situations around which you can demonstrate your skills. This comes with additional challenges but is indeed possible.

Another alternative is that many organisations may be grateful for the opportunity for free audit services. This may even lead to employment.

Most people who are new to the world of Quality Audit will take twelve months.

There are many exceptions though. For example, we have had industry-experienced people finish it in a matter of weeks because they have some RPL as well as well as a range of experience to draw on.

We have also applied additional extensions beyond the 12 months for people who might have come upon some difficult personal circumstances during the course. You can rest assured that we will look after you and provide a service that suits you.

It is difficult to provide a more accurate time-frame without knowing more about you. You are most welcome to call us on 1300 660 609 obligation-free for a discussion about your needs, we will then be able to provide you with a more accurate time-frame.

Please carefully consider whether or not you have the time to dedicate to completing this course.
