Developing Assessment Tools

In this session we explored the development process for creating Assessment Tools in Australia’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.

The process demonstrated was:

Analyse the Unit of Competency
Consider the context and purpose of the assessment tool (using a questionnaire)
Initial Task Mapping and Planning
Draft the assessment instruments
Trial and review
Final Mapping
Release final version

I used an example throughout the session based on the unit BSBCMM211 Apply communication skills.
