Accellier is the provider of choice for thousands of people and hundreds of organisations in Australia and around the world. Under our former name SAVE Training, we built a solid foundation on which Accellier now stands, embodying almost 10 years of service to Australia’s Tertiary and Vocational Education Sector. As a testament to this, since our inception in 2010 we have spent only a few thousand dollars on advertising. Our clients are almost entirely referred from our happy graduates and business customers.
Accellier is the trading name of SAVE Training Pty Ltd and is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 32395) that offers a range of nationally recognised courses in education and business Australia wide through our online and face to face courses.
Our mission is to enhance people’s value through excellence in service and learning outcomes.
There is no direct equivalence between TAA40104 and TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and generally it is recommended the person completes the new course in its entirety.
Remember, the TAA40104 was endorsed in 2004 so an RPL assessor will be looking at units that may have been awarded well over 10 years ago. Without demonstrating currency, there would not be any RPL for the TAA40104.
There are some cases however, where a person may have significant recent experience in Training, Assessing, and VET and hold only TAA40104. We are finding this scenario surprisingly common.
By studying the mapping guide produced by IBSA (the former TAA and TAE Training Package Industry Skills Council) for the TAA to TAE Transition, one can infer some equivalent units to TAE40116.
The old TAA to TAE mapping guide can be Mapping and skill-sets TAE10
These are the implied equivalences between the TAA40104, TAE40110 and TAE40116. They are not granted as automatic credit transfers and a person must demonstrate through evidence currency of skills and knowledge in that unit.

Therefore, if a candidate holds a TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with these units:
They may be able to be awarded RPL in the following three TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment units by demonstrating currency:
This is best determined in consultation with your assessor because everyone’s experience is different. However a typical evidence portfolio to demonstrate currency would show that in the last two years they have actively and regularly used the skills and knowledge set out in the units above. They might provide things in reference to the last couple of years such as:
