Sometimes people get caught up paying lip service to things in Vocational Education and Training (VET) because they have to (e.g. for compliance). Yet if you dig deeper it’s not difficult to see how common things like assessment moderation can really align to our personal values.
Kim recently took us through this thought provoking session which explores how trainers and assessors can be involved in developing the RTO’s moderation process in a meaningful way.
The session reflected on some important ethical principles relevant to assessment, and how moderation can be used to uphold those principles and build the culture of your assessment team.
